Maintenance and storage

Under normal conditions of use, it is generally only necessary to use a soft dry cloth to clean the exterior of the OSTAR heart spectrum blood pressure monitor

If necessary, you can also dampen and wring dry the soft cloth in warm water or neutral cleaner and gently rub to remove any stains on the surface of the device.

Do not use any abrasive alcohol-based cleaner to clean the device.

Do not use thinners, benzine or any corrosive hemicals to clean the device.

The device should not be immersed in water no matter what is the circumstance.

Maintenance of the cuff

The cuff is a consumable part. It is highly recommended not to operate the cuff with wet hands or hands with dirt. Under normal usage, the cuff do not require any maintenance or cleaning.

The cuff should not be cleaned by water, and under no circustance, can the cuff be immersed in water.

Do not press the cuff to deflate. By doing so may cause damage to the compressor and the sensor.

Storage requirements

Temperature between –20 – 60 degree centigrade
Relative humidity between 10 – 95 %

Do not expose the device to direct sunlight or near heat sources such as ovens.

Do not store the device in environments with high temperature, high humidity, high dust or corrosive atmospheres.

Remove the batteries before long-term storage.
